태터앤미디어 사업을 시작하는 초기부터 블로거들이 쓰는 주옥같은 글들을 영어, 중국어, 일본어로 번역해서 소개하면 어떨까 하는 생각을...
Nanoomi comes from the Korean word “나눔”–”to share”.
We’re a community of writers, translators and Korea-enthusiasts who have come together to share with the world, the deep and diverse ecology of the Korean blogosphere.
Actually, make that the Korean blogospheres. There are talented bloggers writing about the country in Korean, but there are also amazing English-language bloggers sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for all things Korean.
But they play in different blogospheres, separated by language, culture and (ahem) social-networking platforms.
Nanoomi wants to bridge those differences: our aim is to build a cross-language “bridge-blogging” community.
We’re a brainchild of Tatter & Media, a blog marketing and syndication company with a network of about 200 of Korea’s top power-bloggers. And we’re working with Looah (a social translation platform) to provide a new social translation service that will share a greater understanding of Korea through local, expat and foreign perspectives.
But don’t let us do all the talking.
We want to hear from you! We hope you can join us–as a blogger, occasional contributor, translator, editor or even “트위터러”–”tweep”.
Follow us @nanoomi and if you’re in Seoul or thereabout, drop us a line at editor@nanoomi.net — we have regular meet-ups and events for any and all interested folks!
